Bihar Teacher Kidnapped, Forced Into Marriage At Gunpoint

Avnish Kumar, a Bihar teacher, was kidnapped on his way to school by armed men who forced him to marry a woman, Gunjan, whom he denied having a relationship with. The incident, part of a growing trend of ‘Pakadwa Vivah,’ occurred after Avnish refused to marry Gunjan despite claims of a four-year romance. Both parties have filed complaints with police regarding kidnapping and assault.
