Arunachal Pradesh has applied for GI tags for 10 local farm products, including Bagra pineapple, Pasighat jaggery, Baali rice, pumpkin, millet, white rajma, cinnamon and large cardamom. Officials said this is the state’s biggest GI push so far. Ten more items will be filed soon, aiming to protect traditional crops and help local farmers.
