The Indian Meteorological Department said on Wednesday that Cyclone ‘Dana’ is expected to make landfall early Friday between Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra port in Odisha. Senior scientist Umashankar Das noted that wind speeds could reach 120 km/h, accompanied by a tidal surge of up to 2 meters. He urged evacuation of low-lying areas in Kendrapara, Bhadrak, and Balasore districts.
