Cyclone Dana: High Alert Issued For 7 Districts In Bengal

The West Bengal government has placed 7 districts on high alert due to Cyclone Dana’s potential impact, with wind gusts up to 120 km/h expected. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed a 24×7 control room is operational. Affected districts include Purba and Paschim Medinipur, North and South 24 Parganas, and Kolkata. All leave for essential civic staff has been canceled until October 26.
