Court Summons Army Chief Over Jawans’ Disability Pension Non-Payment

The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) has summoned Defence Secretary and Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi to appear on October 21 regarding the non-payment of a jawan’s disability pension despite multiple orders. The Delhi High Court upheld the AFT’s authority, allowing the contempt case to proceed without issuing a stay and requiring an affidavit from the Defence Secretary.
