Congress Names Four Candidates For Assam Assembly Bypolls

The Congress has announced four candidates for the five seats in Assam’s upcoming assembly bypolls: Tanzil Hussain (Samaguri), Dhrubajyoti Purakayastha (Dholai), Sanjib Warle (Sidli), and Brajenjit Sinha (Bongaigaon). The Behali seat was left to the opposition, but some Congress leaders have opposed this. The bypolls are scheduled for November 13, with results on November 23.
