Chaos In AP: Devotees Injured In Festival Clash Over Idols

A tense atmosphere prevailed in Devaragattu village of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday night. After the Kalyanotsavam of Srimala Malleswaraswamy Mallammala, devotees took the Utsavamurthys to the Simhasanam katta and began the yatra. The devotees split into two groups and fought with sticks over the idols. Several individuals were injured and were taken to nearby hospitals.
