Center Appoints Paramesh As New Chief Of Indian Coast Guard

The central government has announced the appointment of S. Paramesh as the new Chief of the Indian Coast Guard, effective Tuesday, October 15. With three decades of experience, he is currently serving as the officiating Director General. Paramesh succeeds DG Rakesh Pal, the former Coast Guard director general, who passed away from cardiac arrest in August during a visit to Chennai.
