New PAN card rules will come into effect from April 1, 2026, introducing key changes. Applicants must now submit an additional original document along with Aadhaar, such as proof of date of birth or a driving license. PAN will also be mandatory for depositing ₹10 lakh or more in banks and for purchasing vehicles exceeding ₹5 lakh, strengthening compliance.
