Polling commenced at 7 am across Assam, Keralam, and Puducherry, continuing until 6 pm IST. Assam sees 722 candidates contesting 126 seats with 31,490 booths, while Keralam has 833 candidates for 140 seats and 30,495 stations. In Puducherry, 294 candidates compete for 30 seats, with around 9.5 lakh voters expected to participate in the democratic exercise.
