The Election Commission has raised concerns over more than 2,100 police personnel being deployed to guard nearly 1,000 individuals linked to the ruling TMC in poll-bound West Bengal. Calling it disproportionate, the EC directed the state police chief to review the arrangement ahead of Assembly polls on April 23 and 29, with counting on May 4.
