Skywatchers will witness a stunning celestial sight today as a ‘Supermoon’ rises around 6 pm on the full-moon day. Appearing 15% larger and about 30% brighter than a regular full moon. Astronomers explain that this phenomenon occurs when the moon comes closer to Earth while positioned opposite the sun. Those who miss it will have to wait until Nov 2026.
