14 Million Aadhaar Holders Deactivated, Govt Details Aim

UIDAI has deactivated over 1.4 crore Aadhaar numbers belonging to deceased individuals as part of the Modi governments ongoing clean-up drive. UIDAI CEO Bhuwanesh Kumar said the move ensures welfare benefits reach the rightful recipients, prevents misuse, and maintains the credibility of public schemes, stopping fraudulent claims and protecting public funds.
