Famous Tamil poet and lyricist R. Vairamuthu has been selected for the prestigious Jnanpith Award 2025, India’s highest literary honor. Recognized for his four decades of contribution to Tamil literature and cinema, he has authored over 37 books and won multiple national awards, including seven National Film Awards, Padma Shri, and Padma Bhushan.
