The Centre informed the SC that a PM-led panel will meet on December 10 to select and recommend candidates for Chief Information Commissioner and other Central Information Commission positions. A bench of CJI Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi was hearing a plea on filling vacant CIC posts. Notice for the meeting has been sent to all panel members.
