Farmers participating in a ‘Dilli Chalo’ march, demanding a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Prices and other long-standing issues, were forced to halt after police used tear gas shells to block their route to the national capital. Clash, near Shambhu on the Punjab-Haryana border, left 8 injured, including 2 seriously. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher condemned the force used by police.
