Raj Kumar Goyal Takes Oath As Chief Information Commissioner

Former IAS officer Raj Kumar Goyal was sworn in as Chief Information Commissioner today by President Droupadi Murmu. A 1990-batch AGMUT cadre officer, he retired as Secretary, Department of Justice. The PM-led panel also recommended eight Information Commissioners, restoring the Central Information Commission to full strength after over nine years.
