Center Clears Early Repatriation Of NIA Chief’s Tenure

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, led by PM Modi, approved the premature repatriation of NIA Director General Sadanand Vasant Date to his Maharashtra cadre with immediate effect. The 1990-batch IPS officer, hailed as a 26/11 hero, is the frontrunner to become Maharashtra DGP as incumbent Rashmi Shukla’s tenure ends soon.
