Eight elephants were killed and one injured after a herd was hit when the Sairang–New Delhi Rajdhani Express derailed in Assam’s Hojai district this morning. The accident happened near Changjurai. Five coaches and the engine derailed, but no passengers were hurt. Rescue teams reached the site, and trains are being diverted safely.
