Budget Session Of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Will Begin On Feb 5
AP Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath will present the budget to the House on February 6, 2023. In addition to that, the vote on account budget is likely to be at Rs 75,000 crore.
The budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly will begin tomorrow, February 5, 2024. As per schedule, the budget session will begin with the address of AP Governor Abdul Nazeer to the joint sitting of the Assembly and Legislative Council members.
Meanwhile, the government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to conduct the session for three to five days. AP Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath will present the budget to the House on February 6, 2023. In addition to that, the vote on account budget is likely to be at Rs 75,000 crore as this year AP will go to polls for assembly and Lok Sabha.
The budget will focus on welfare schemes and industrial development. As the assembly elections are around the corner, the government of AP wants the budget session to be brief and limited to three to five days only.
In fact, Andhra Pradesh is one of the very few states in India with a bicameral legislature. The state established a Legislative Council in 1957. The Legislative Council was abolished in 1985 and again re-established in 2007.
