Junior doctors protesting the RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case in Kolkata ended their hunger strike after a two-hour meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat, Nabanna, on Monday night. After the meeting, junior doctor Sayant Ghosh Hazra stated that they discussed various issues and received assurances of directives to be issued by 3 PM the next day.
