Former ISRO chief Dr S Somanath, who led Chandrayaan-3’s lunar South Pole landing, praised India’s first indigenous space-qualified chip, Vikram-32, built in Chandigarh. He called it a cornerstone for self-reliant semiconductors. “Chandrayaan-3 showed interplanetary strength, but Vikram-32 proves our silicon capability. A greater journey awaits,” Somanath said.
