Tomato rates have dropped steeply once again across major market yards in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Prices have plunged to as low as ₹3 per kg, with the highest reaching only ₹6. Traders attribute this sharp decline to surplus production and increased arrivals in markets. Growers are expressing distress as the falling prices are affecting their returns.
