Cyclone Fengal Causes Widespread Damage, Heavy Rainfall In South India

Cyclone Fengal has impacted much of South India, including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and Kerala, causing significant damage. Heavy rainfall hit Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada districts in Karnataka, while Puducherry recorded 48.4 cm of rainfall in 24 hours. The highest rainfall was reported in Mailam, Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district, with 50 cm, intensifying the cyclone’s effects.
