FM Sitharaman To Present GST 2.0 Plan To GoM

A two-day Group of Ministers meeting on GST overhaul begins in New Delhi, with FM Nirmala Sitharaman addressing the panel at 2 PM. The Centre proposes a simplified two-slab system of 5% and 18%, a 40% rate for select demerit goods, and reduced GST on health and life insurance. GoM recommendations will go to the GST Council for approval.
