Mamata Banerjee alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party brought outsiders to influence Assam elections, claiming it lacked confidence in local votes. Speaking at a rally in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas, she further accused the Centre of compromising the neutrality of national agencies, saying they are controlled by the ruling party at the federal level.
