MS Subbulakshmi Biopic Gets New Lead Casting Twist

Director Gowtam Tinnanuri is developing a biopic on the legendary Carnatic singer and Bharat Ratna MS Subbulakshmi. Reports suggest Rukmini Vasanth may replace Sai Pallavi in the lead role. Anirudh is expected to compose the music. Sai Pallavi, meanwhile, is focused on Ramayana, slated for a Diwali 2026 theatrical release across cinemas.
