Deleting Name In SIR Not End Of Citizenship: SC

The Supreme Court upheld the legality of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process while clarifying an important point on electoral rolls. The court stated that removing a person’s name from voter lists does not affect citizenship status. It also explained that the EC can examine matters only for poll inclusion or exclusion within its defined authority.
