Uttarakhand To Impose Green Cess On Out-of-State Vehicles

Uttarakhand government will soon impose a green cess on out-of-state vehicles, ranging from ₹20 to ₹80, applicable to both commercial and private vehicles. However, two-wheelers, electric and CNG vehicles, those registered in Uttarakhand, and vehicles engaged in essential services like ambulances and fire brigades will be exempted from the cess, according to an official.
