Indian High Commissioner Holds Talks With BNP Chief Rahman

Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma met BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman a day after Rahman was elected chief before the Feb 12 elections. BNP said the brief courtesy call came as the party emerged as the frontrunner, with Jamaat-e-Islami as its main rival. The Awami League was disbanded after its 2024 ouster and barred from polls by the government.
