SC To Hear Digital Arrest Victims Case Next Week

The Supreme Court today said it will hear next week a suo motu case concerning victims of “digital arrest,” an emerging cybercrime. In such scams, fraudsters pose as police officers, court officials, or government agency personnel through audio and video calls, intimidate victims, keep them virtually confined, and pressure them to transfer money.
