Bombay HC Rejects Jaya Chheda’s Plea To Dismiss Gambling Charges

Bombay High Court on Wednesday rejected Jaya Chheda’s request to dismiss multiple FIRs and legal proceedings against her under the Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act. Chheda, known as the “matqa queen,” withdrew six of the 16 petitions she had filed. The court cited witness statements and evidence linking her to illegal gambling activities.
