Sri Lankan Navy Arrests 14 Indian Fishermen, Seizes Trawlers

Sri Lankan Navy arrested 14 Indian fishermen for allegedly fishing in the country’s territorial waters off the northeastern district of Mannar. Two fishing trawlers were also seized during the operation. This brings the total number of Indian fishermen arrested this year to 529, along with 68 trawlers confiscated. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to protect maritime boundaries.
