Oil And Gas Companies Failing To Address Methane Emissions, Warns Report

As COP29 unfolds in Baku, Azerbaijan, a report from Carbon Tracker highlights that oil and gas companies are worsening the climate crisis by failing to set strict targets to curb methane emissions. Despite plans to reduce emissions from upstream operations to “near zero” by 2030, none of the major producers have set comprehensive targets addressing all methane emissions from their activities.
