OUP Apologizes For Errors In Shivaji Book

Oxford University Press has apologized for incorrect information published in the book ‘Shivaji: Hindu King in Islamic India’ by James Laine. Released in 2003, the book hurt the sentiments of Shivaji Maharaj’s followers, including his 13th descendant Udayanraje Bhosale. The controversy earlier led to protests and attacks on a research institute in Pune.
