An Army jawan, Ajay Wankhede, has been arrested by Nagpur Police for allegedly murdering his girlfriend, Jyotsna Aakre, and concealing her body with cement. The crime, reminiscent to the film Drishyam, involved Wankhede administering a sedative before strangling Aakre and burying her in a secluded area. The investigation began after Aakre went missing on August 28, leading to revelations.
