Anura Kumara Dissanayake Leads Sri Lanka Presidential Poll Amid Ongoing Counting

Counting is underway for Sri Lanka’s presidential election, with National People’s Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake currently in the lead. Reports indicate that Dissanayake has received 54% of the 5,00,000 votes counted so far. Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) party leader Sajith Premadasa is in second place with 20%, while President Wickremesinghe appears to be in third position.
