Aizawl, Mizoram, will soon become the fourth capital in Northeast India to have a railway link, with the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) laying a new 51.38 km Broad Gauge track to Sairang. NFR General Manager Arun Kumar Chaudhary announced that the line connecting Bhairabi and Sairang is expected to be completed by July next year, with the project costing ₹8,213.72 crore.
