Govt Approves Rs 21,772 Crore Defence Acquisition For Indian Navy

In a major step to enhance India’s defence capabilities, the Central govt approved five military acquisition proposals worth Rs 21,772 crores on Tuesday. The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, sanctioned the procurement of 31 new water jet fast attack crafts (NWJFACs) for the Indian Navy, designed for maritime operations, surveillance, and anti-piracy missions.
