Delhi HC Allows IVF For Army Soldier In Vegetative State

The Delhi High Court permitted the continuation of IVF for an army soldier in a persistent vegetative state with no hope of neurological recovery. Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav held that the soldier’s earlier consent remains valid and his wife’s consent is sufficient under the ART Act. The court allowed extraction and cryopreservation of genetic material for IVF.
