Kolkata Police have tightened security for ‘Dol Yatra’ and Holi, deploying 4,000 personnel, 400 pickets, PCR vans, and QRTs. Officers will monitor ghats, rooftops, and streets to prevent drunken bathing, harassment, forced colour application, and attacks on animals. Illegal liquor sales will also be curbed, with strict legal action against violators.
