A five-year-old boy, Saiful, son of a migrant Assamese worker, was mauled to death by a leopard in Valparai, Tamil Nadu. He was playing outside the labour quarters when the leopard dragged him into nearby tea bushes. His body was later found inside the estate. This is the third child killed by leopards in Valparai within eight months, alarming residents.
