The US Supreme Court agreed to hear Trump’s appeal contesting controversial birthright-citizenship limits for children born in the US to undocumented or temporary-status parents. Lower courts struck down the order as inconsistent with the 14th Amendment. The justices will hear arguments in spring and issue a final nationwide decision likely by early summer.
