Centre And Trinamool Clash Over Bengal’s Railway Budget

West Bengal received ₹13,955 crore for rail infrastructure in this year’s Union Budget, three times the amount under Mamata Banerjee, said Ashwini Vaishnaw. Trinamool’s Kunal Ghosh called this misleading, highlighting past projects under Banerjee. Vaishnaw urged the CM’s help in land acquisition for further railway development, including Kolkata Metro.
