National Consumer Rights Day: Theme & Its Significance

National Consumer Rights Day is observed annually today across India. The day is observed to raise the awareness of consumer rights and protect consumers and promote fair trade practices.  The day marks the enactment of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986. The 2025 theme is ‘Efficient and Speedy Disposal through Digital Justice.’
