An archaeological discovery in Baramulla’s Zehanpora village has revealed a 2,000-year-old Buddhist site with stupas and monastic remains from the Kushan period. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it a proud moment, saying the find highlights Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage, ancient trade links, and long-overlooked Buddhist legacy of the region.
