Kaziranga National Park recorded its highest-ever foreign tourist footfall in 2025–26, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said. Foreign arrivals surged 127 percent to 6,699 by December 27, from 2,947 in 2022–23. Sarma credited conservation efforts, culture and community-driven tourism at the UNESCO World Heritage wildlife reserve.
