Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa Becomes Namibia’s First Female President

Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa has been elected as Namibia’s first female president, according to an official statement from the country’s Election Commission. The commission revealed that over 90% of the votes had been counted in the recent elections. Nandi-Ndaitwa, 72, secured 57% of the vote. In her remarks, she expressed that the people had voted for peace and stability.
