Rajya Sabha To Hear Online Gaming Bill Today

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, will be tabled in Rajya Sabha today, August 21. Already passed by Lok Sabha, it bans operating, facilitating, or advertising online money-based games to curb addiction, money laundering, and financial fraud. Violations may attract up to three years’ imprisonment or a fine of ₹1 crore.
