Nagarjuna Sagar Near Full Capacity, TG Govt Opens 8 Gates

Telangana government authorities have raised eight crest gates of the Nagarjuna Sagar Project by 5 feet, releasing 64,720 cusecs of water downstream. With an inflow of 1,17,240 cusecs, water is being released as it arrives. The dam’s current water level is 589.90 feet, with 311.74 TMC stored out of a 312.04 TMC capacity.
